Hi, I’m Ashley Soeder. I am located in Rouleau Saskatchewan, working in and around the Regina area. Inspired by the fleeting moments of my own children’s childhoods, I have set out to help my clients remember the special milestones, and everyday moments of their own lives with photographs. Children grow so quickly, changing almost every day. I want to capture those chubby cheeks, little hands and sweet dimpled smiles. I want you to remember all the sweet little details.
Capturing personality and authentic family moments through a photography session is my passion. I work with families to create a session that is unique to them, capturing what is important. Keeping sessions relaxed and laid back, my goal is to tell your story and let your family and personalities to shine through in photographs you can cherish for years to come.
If you're looking for a lifestyle or documentary photographer, I would love to discuss how we can custom plan your session.
Photography found me shortly after the birth of my second daughter. Sitting on the floor with my children, watching them build with blocks, or play with their favourite toy I began to notice how when the light shone through the window and touched down on them, it created an almost magical moment. I began to become aware of the light and soon found myself framing photographs with my mind wherever I went. I picked up my first DSLR camera in 2014 and have been chasing the light and soaking up every bit of knowledge ever since. Earning two accreditations through the Professional Photographers of Canada in 2017 for Children and Infant Portrait and Child Study, a merit award in the 2017 National Association of Professional Child Photographers image competition, and was named a NAPCP Best New Emerging Artist finalist in 2018; I am always pushing myself to be the best possible photographer I can. . I have been featured on websites such as National Geographic, Clickin Moms, Beyond the Wanderlust, The Snap Society, Love Snap Grow, Snap Maven, and Jackie Jean Photography Weekly Top 10.
Finding my voice through photography has been such a blessing. I keep busy through personal work, client work and volunteer photography. I am currently a volunteer photographer with Spectrum Inspired, an amazing organization that gives lifestyle family sessions to families touched by autism. Please visit the button at the bottom of the page for more information on Spectrum Inspired. I also enjoy taking on personal projects. When I don't have my camera in hand I can be found planning our next home renovation project with my husband, Scott. Together we have 3 amazing children, who inspire us and keep us on or toes. In case they didn't keep us busy enough we added a silly labrador into the mix. Life is busy, loud, and fun; although, if I find a rare quiet hour in my day you might find me sipping a hot tea on our porch swing while reading a book.
