Session Housekeeping

I can't wait to plan a session for your family but before we getting started here are a few important details to go over:

My passion is capturing real authentic family and childhood moments. Though my session questionnaire I will get to know you better, and come up with a session plan. I will scout a few locations and together we agree on a meeting spot. During your session I will spend some time getting everyone comfortable. We will chat and spend some time together before I pull out my camera. Throughout the session I may ask you to sit in a certain spot, or reposition you, but what I really want to capture if you interacting with one another, and your child interacting with their environment. If your child is unhappy, needs cuddles, or isn't in the mood for photographs thats okay. I do my best to create a stress-free environment , and go with the flow. If we need to take breaks that okay, and if your child takes some time to warm up, that is completely okay too.

If you would like some ideas on what to wear for your session I am happy to help. I have created a Pinterest board  with some different suggestions. Generally neutral tones work great for photos.  Long flowy dresses for mom, simple dresses or leggings and neutral shirt for girls, and some jeans and a basic t-shirt for the boys. For Dad, jeans or khakis, and plain t-shirt are amazing.  I want your clothes to reflect you, and want you to be comfortable. Wardrobes that are simple and classic will help to give your session a timeless look, and also brings the focus of the session onto yourselves and the connections you have as a family.

Session times do vary. As a general guideline I expect each session to take about an hour. Some sessions are over within 30 minutes and some take up to 2 hours.  I don't limit my time and will continue the session until I feel that I have captured a full story. Don't stress if your little one isn't all smiles, it is often the brief moments in between that are my favourite to capture. The best sessions are the ones where Mom and Dad go with the flow. Encourage your child to explore, and explore with them. Find the flowers, look at the clouds, cuddle. Be present, and be in the moment with your family, and I will take care of the rest!

Session prices do not include PST and are due the day of session. Cash, cheque, or e-transfer are accepted for payment. Session images will not be processed until payment is made.
